Milwaukee's Inner Harbor

The Milwaukee Inner Harbor redevelopment project is a public-private effort to revitalize Milwaukee's historic City gateway by meeting stringent environmental goals that spur private investment and economic development. Tthe area has the potential to become a vibrant urban district with employment centers and a restored neighborhood fabric built along a working, modern, and progressively operational waterfront.

Although Brownfield remediation, land use, and building re-use are central to this project, the benefits of this project toward the goals and targets listed in the Water and Mobility chapters cannot be understated. The Inner Harbor area will connect multiple neighborhoods in the city and re-introduce Milwaukeeans to this unique, working waterfront.
